In some cases; reading data from the cache is now significantly faster. Additionally; the default size of the in-memory data cache has been increased from 64MiB to 256MiB on the desktop clients.$$$On Windows specifically; weve updated the LucidFS driver which brings major performance improvements for reads served from your local cache. Applications that read files in small chunks are expected to see the biggest benefit; with read speeds up to 6× faster than before in some workflows. The actual gain depends on read size and your local storage speed.
