February 17th; 2026$$$Word integration$$$We’ve made a number of improvements to our Microsoft Word integration to make it faster; more reliable; and easier to use:$$$$$$Performance is significantly improved with native support for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3 Macs).$$$Paperpile no longer repeatedly asks for macOS permissions on startup.$$$Improved detection of Word’s startup folder; including support for custom locations.$$$Fixed an issue with Paperpile’s window position so it’s always properly centered when opened.$$$Updated and improved language handling for citation styles; including proper support for the “Default” language option.$$$Fixed a conflict that could cause issues if the EndNote Online Word plugin was installed.$$$Resolved a macOS issue where citations could not be inserted because Word macro calls silently failed.$$$Improved citation conversion when using Track Changes in Word.$$$Fixed conversion issues affecting some Google Docs bibliographies.
