**File not scanned as it is too large**$$$$$$Enhancements in ZoomText 2024.2409.2 and Fusion 2024.2409.1 (September 2024)$$$The following describes improvements made in the September 2024 update.$$$$$$Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome$$$Mouse echo in ZoomText and Fusion will now read browser tabs in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome correctly when you hover your mouse over them.$$$The ZoomText Finder feature has been improved to recognize headings and form fields on web pages in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.$$$Outlook 365$$$Improved Outlook 365 support. You can start typing your email reply right after you select Reply without losing the first few characters; thus making email responses quicker and more efficient.$$$Microsoft Teams$$$Added typing echo support for writing chat messages in Microsoft Teams. Typing echo is also known as keyboard echo in ZoomText.$$$ZoomText and Fusion$$$When using a USB camera with ZoomText; the Camera view did not always display properly when running multiple monitors in Span mode. This problem has been resolved.$$$A system freeze has been fixed when a camera is in use on the secondary display during ZoomText or Fusion startup.$$$Resolved conflicts with third-party apps that blocked ZoomText from starting properly.$$$Changes to ZoomText settings can be saved to a configuration file at any time. There was a problem where new changes were not being overwritten if the same name was used for the configuration file.$$$Improved stability of Fusion’s Braille Viewer and Text Viewer; especially when switching between Extended Desktop and Single Desktop modes.$$$Command Search is a feature available in both JAWS and Fusion. It allows you to enter a full or partial description of a command whose keystrokes you do not remember. Commands that match your search are displayed in a window along with a description of the feature and associated keystrokes.$$$$$$For Fusion; Command Search has been expanded to include more magnification commands and other functionality typically used by ZoomText. For example; if you have forgotten the keystroke to toggle xFont bold on and off; you can do the following:$$$$$$Press INSERT+SPACEBAR; J to open Command Search.$$$Move focus to the Search box; and type a term like “xFont.”$$$A list of related results is displayed showing the command; keystroke; and description.

In our December 2023 update; we introduced xFont support in Office 365 apps as an Early Adopter Program feature. In our March 2024 update; xFont is no longer under evaluation and is now on by default. **File not scanned as it is too large**$$$$$$Enhancements in ZoomText 2024.2312.26 and Fusion 2024.2312.8 (December 2023)$$$The following describes new features and improvements made in the December 2023 update.$$$$$$Experience the Clearest Text Quality in Outlook 365; Word 365; and Excel 365$$$xFont is an advanced font smoothing technology that enhances the readability of text on the screen. Our reintroduced xFont technology in Office 365 improves the clarity and sharpness of text making it easier for low vision users to read and interact with content on their computer screens.$$$$$$An example of text with and without xFont enabled.$$$$$$xFont support for Office 365 is currently available as an Early Adopter Program feature. You can preview xFont quality text in Outlook 365; Word 365; and Excel 365. We encourage you to try it and provide feedback via the Early Adopter Program “Send Feedback” form that is available in the Early Adopter Program dialog box.$$$$$$To enable xFont for these Office 365 apps; do the following:$$$$$$In the ZoomText or Fusion menu; choose Early Adopter Program.$$$Select xFont for Office 365.$$$Note: If you clear the check box; you turn off xFont functionality for Office 365.$$$Click OK and restart the software.$$$Restart any Office 365 apps that are running.$$$xFont smoothing is now available when using Outlook 365; Word 365; and Excel 365.$$$Note: When you enable xFont using the Early Adopter Program; it automatically enables xFont smoothing in the Smoothing tab of the Preferences dialog box.$$$Early Adopter Program dialog box with the xFont for Office 365 setting selected.$$$Fixed Pointer Size Across Magnification Levels$$$As you zoom in or out; the size of the mouse pointer also changes relative to the zoom level. Using the new Lock Pointer Size setting available in this update; you can now set the pointer to always remain a fixed size no matter the zoom level.$$$$$$In the first release (October 2023) of ZoomText and Fusion 2024; the pointer size settings were expanded from three to 15 different pointer sizes. You can now use pointer size settings along with the Lock Pointer Size to set the pointer to a consistent size that suits your needs.$$$$$$To change and lock the pointer size; do the following:$$$$$$On the Magnifier toolbar tab; click the arrow next to Pointer or navigate to Pointer and press the down arrow key.$$$In the Pointer menu; choose Settings.$$$Do one of the following:$$$Choose the Customize button located to the right of the active pointer scheme.$$$Choose the Custom scheme.$$$In the Custom Settings; move the Size slider to increase or decrease the pointer to a size that is comfortable and easy for you to locate on the screen.$$$Select Lock Pointer Size and then OK. Now when you zoom in or out; you will see that the pointer stays the same size.$$$To save the changes; in the ZoomText menu; choose Configurations > Save As Default.$$$Pointer Size and Lock Pointer Size settings in the Screen Enhancements dialog box.$$$AppReader Silent Mode$$$AppReader is a productivity tool that automatically reads documents; web pages; and emails while you visually follow along or relax your eyes and listen. While reading text aloud; a visual highlight also moves along as words are read.$$$$$$App View and Text View are two reading modes available in AppReader. When using either mode; you can now run AppReader without speech and follow along with just highlight tracking. This guided reading approach simplifies the process of navigating through long passages of text by automatically moving the magnifier over words as they are read. This feature not only benefits children learning to read but also assists all users in maintaining their focus on the content without the distraction of manually adjusting the magnification window.$$$$$$To enable Silent mode; do the following:$$$$$$On the Reader toolbar tab; choose AppReader > Shared Settings.
