This new package is installed with the VDI plugin but can be optionally either removed or skipped using a command line option.$$$Live performance audio disabled for VDI$$$A recent audio enhancement to support professional audio users for remote music collaboration has been disabled for VDI as the platform would not be recommended because of performance concerns.$$$New and enhanced features$$$VDI Client features$$$Support for Zoom Mesh for VDI plugins$$$Zoom Mesh is a native; zero-click; zero-install; client-based Mesh (eCDN) solution for Zoom Webinars and Events. The Zoom Mesh service minimizes network congestion for Webinars & Events while preserving the native Zoom attendee and host experience. This release adds support for Zoom Mesh for audio and video streams optimized through a VDI plugin. Please note support for Zoom Mesh in the VDI host is not available at this time. Zoom Mesh is available to all accounts that have the Webinar or Zoom Events add-on.$$$Note: For hybrid users; MMR 4.6.20221013.257 or higher is required.$$$Allow user to show/hide full room view$$$Users can choose whether the full room view is presented as a dedicated window in either the Active Speaker view or the Smart Gallery multistream view.$$$Linux features$$$AMD R1606G CPU Added to Virtual Background Whitelist$$$For Linux users; the VDI plugin will automatically support virtual backgrounds when installed on clients using an AMD R1606G CPU.$$$macOS features$$$Optional installation for Zoom VDI Plugin Management$$$Mac users can choose whether to install Zoom VDI Plugin Management plugins or not. Zoom VDI Plugin Management can detect when a VDI plugin is missing or an updated release is required. Previously; Zoom VDI Plugin Management was installed by default when users installed the VDI plugin with ZoomVDI.pkg.$$$Developer features$$$SDK APIs$$$The following API calls are available for Linux VDI and Windows VDI; and they will support video filters for Zoom Apps:$$$setVideoFilter: Set static images as video filter foregrounds with support for RGBA (32-bit). When you click setVideoFilter; enter true/false to control the option to select or deselect the Apply to all future meetings checkbox.$$$clearVideoFilter: This clears any video filter set for the user; and it includes both video filters set by apps and set directly by the user.$$$Resolved issues$$$General fixes$$$Incorrect prompt to unmute speaker or increase volume$$$A prompt to unmute or increase volume was incorrectly displayed when leaving a meeting. The problem has been resolved by updating the volume check before sending the device information. This problem was determined to occur in version 5.12.6 and greater.$$$Video filters incorrectly disabled for Mac and Windows check$$$When checking VDI Plugin backward compatibility for audio avatars; an issue was found and fixed which could disable the video filter selection.$$$Raise Hand notification for large meetings$$$An issue has been addressed where the Raise Hand notification was not being displayed during a share session when the number of participants raising their hands was greater than the current view.$$$VDI plugin download failure when restarting the VDI client$$$A change was added. This change is for a condition where restarting the VDI Zoom Meeting client while downloading a prompted VDI plugin update; the download stopped and potentially prevented future downloads.$$$Support Fallback Mode 4 for VDI Plugin Management$$$Changes have been made to support the fallback policy 4 which forces the client to exit when a VDI plugin is missing or incompatible and cannot be used. March 8; 2023 version 5.13.10$$$Changes to existing features$$$Prevent VDI Plugin Installation for Microsoft Store Downloads of Citrix Workspace$$$The Windows VDI Plugin for Citrix requires a Citrix Workspace version downloaded from the Citrix website. Versions of Citrix Workspace downloaded from the Microsoft Store do not support the full virtual channel functionality required for Zoom’s VDI solution. The installer will notify the user and prevent installation if the version of Citrix Workspace is not supported because it is a Microsoft Store version.

The problem only affected customers who enabled the policy PingServerFromThinClient.$$$Simultaneous Translation compatibility for older plugins$$$Resolved an issue regarding changes added to simultaneous translation in release 5.11.9 for the meeting client that would no longer support older plugins.$$$Crash on meeting exit with updated iGel environment$$$Resolved an issue for customers who updated iGel firmware to 11.08.200 reporting a crash leaving meetings using a combination of a recent meeting client release (5.12.6) with an older VDI plugin.

Changes to existing features$$$Add VDI plugin auto-update software to standard client installer and updates$$$When either Citrix Workspace or VMware Horizon is detected; users will be prompted to install an additional package for Zoom VDI auto-update software during an update of the standard Windows Zoom Meeting client.$$$Remove requirement for user account control (UAC) for VDI Client AutoUpgrade$$$VDI client auto upgrade will not require admin authorization for end users; and the UAC dialogue box will not be displayed when upgrading to later releases. In previous releases; the UAC dialog was displayed during a VDI client auto upgrade.$$$Note: This change only affects future updates. The UAC dialog will still be displayed when updating from an older release. The change was added to release 5.12.7 and once that release or a subsequent release has been installed (such as 5.13.0) future updates will not display the UAC dialog during auto-update.$$$Disable Webinar Breakout Rooms for VDI$$$This feature has been disabled for VDI and will be added in a future release. This feature is also not available for VDI client builds in either fallback mode or when running without a remote connection.$$$Production Studio UI for VDI client$$$The VDI client supports this feature when the VDI client is run as a viewer. For hosts; Production Studio is supported when the VDI client runs in fallback mode; the host feature is not available when a plugin is connected.$$$New and enhanced features$$$Countdown timer$$$Users can keep track of how much time is left in a scheduled meeting. Both hosts and participants can display the remaining time in a meeting.$$$Enhancements to the Later option for VDI Plugin Auto-Update$$$For administrators concerned about forcing users to disconnect; an additional policy; a registry key called UpdatePluginLater; can be configured. This policy provides the option for the user to see and click a button called “Later” in the VDI plugin auto-update dialog presented to the user when a VDI plugin is either missing or incompatible.$$$Enhancements to hybrid meeting security shield information$$$When users click the green shield icon during hybrid meetings; the meeting information and hybrid meeting disclaimer are properly reflected in the security shield’s pop-up window.$$$Limit selected media source ports for VDI client$$$Zoom Phone account owners and admins can select the number of source ports required for Zoom clients. Account owners and admins must have a minimum of 50 selected ports. This selection applies to the VDI client for Zoom Phone.$$$Smart Recording$$$Account owners and admins can enable Smart Recording to allow hosts to get more out of their Zoom meetings and webinars.
