About this role

We are looking for a highly skilled Test Engineering Lead to manage and enhance our QA processes for enterprise software products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development, cloud technologies, and Kubernetes clusters. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong technical background to support escalations and ensure the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QA Team: Manage and guide the QA team to consistently meet high-quality standards, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with the support team to identify and resolve product escalations, diagnose issues, and facilitate resolution of bugs and defects as part of the ongoing QA process, ensuring timely fixes and improvements are delivered to enhance product quality.
  • Testing Methodologies: Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive testing methodologies and pipelines for enterprise-level applications to ensure robust testing coverage and stability.
  • Transition to Cloud-Based CI/CD Pipelines: Lead the transition to cloud-based continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration and deployment process.
  • Implement Automated Testing Frameworks: Design and develop automated testing frameworks, including UI automation, to streamline processes and improve efficiency across testing cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
  • Execute and Track Testing Pipelines Execution: Work with stakeholders to execute testing pipelines, monitor progress, and provide detailed metrics and results to demonstrate product quality.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring continuous product improvement.
  • Project Management: Use project management such as JIRA to track project progress, manage timelines, and ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Compliance: Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in QA processes, ensuring that all testing procedures comply with relevant guidelines and methodologies.

Requirements
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Lead working with enterprise software, demonstrating leadership in managing QA teams and ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Escalation Management: Experience with Escalation Management in an enterprise software environment, applying best practices for issue resolution and bug fixes as part of the QA process.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the System Management domain and complex enterprise software platforms, with the ability to navigate and improve large-scale, multifaceted systems.
  • QA Expertise: Strong knowledge of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices, including testing types, automation frameworks, and continuous integration.
  • Software Development: Solid understanding of software development principles and practices, with a focus on agile methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Cloud Technologies: Expertise in cloud technologies, including experience with Kubernetes clusters and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable and efficient deployments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, etc.) to support Adaptiva’s feature development and contribute to improving products.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that defects are identified, understood, and resolved efficiently.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams (e.g., support, development) to drive new features and improve existing product lines.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $110,000 – $125,000. The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, location, and other business needs.

 

The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a performance bonus and very generous benefits.
