About the Role

We are looking for a confident and dedicated technical writing professional to join us on our adventure. As a Technical Writer, you will analyse, plan, develop, and maintain product documentation for Adaptiva OneSite products. This includes collaboration with other writers and applying content development standards grounded in user-focused research and technical writing experience to bring existing content into compliance with style guidelines. You will work with the Customer Success, Solutions, and Development teams to create knowledgebase articles, script samples, how-to guides, tutorials, and technical reference documentation. You will have the opportunity to work with our Engineers, learn our products inside out, and work closely with our team of Solution Architects. 

This is full-time, exempt position, based at our offices in Kirkland, Washington.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include: 

Writing and maintenance of the following:

  • Current and future product documentation, including the PDF and online/HTML versions
  • SDK documentation, including workflow activity specs, and script samples
  • Security white papers
  • Reference architecture guides
  • Other white paper and big picture guides
  • Work with Support Engineers to develop and publish knowledgebase (KB) articles.
  • Review and edit current product documentation to improve quality and make updates where necessary.
  • Monitor Adaptiva support tickets to identify areas that need better documentation.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive, self-starter with the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering documentation experience.
  • 5+ years of experience creating written technical content for software products.
  • Strong technical experience documenting software and solutions content.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated commitment to user-focused documentation.
  • Comfortable working with changing priorities and taking a hands-on approach to learning.

Desired experience:

  • Topic-based writing experience with DITA, XML, CCMS.
  • Familiarity or experience with Markdown, Adobe Acrobat, Zendesk, and ProProfs.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $105,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
