About the Role
Adaptiva is looking for a QA Engineer with enterprise software experience. In this role, you will be responsible for functional testing efforts, leveraging strong manual and automation testing experience. The role involves close collaboration with the development team.
This position requires a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute to a team environment. You will be responsible for building and executing test plans, sharing results, and serving as an advocate for quality.
This is a full-time, exempt position, based at our offices in Kirkland, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Identify software defects using manual and automation testing.
- Report and track defects in bug-tracking software.
- Document issues and work with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets the highest degree of quality and reliability.
- Experience in interacting and coordinating test activities amongst multiple teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Experience writing test plans and developing manual and automated test cases.
- Experience writing high-quality bug reports and using issue tracking software.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in quality assurance with:
- strong understanding of QA and SDLC methodologies,
- including experience with scripting automated tests (in any programming language).
- Basic SQL experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Powershell.
- Experience with basic networking protocols like TCP, UDP, HTTP, and HTTPS.
- Experience with UI test automation frameworks such as Cypress.
- Experience with REST APIs and API testing frameworks.
- Experience in Performance and/or Security testing.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Experience with working in a Windows environment and using CLI commands.
- Experience with SCCM/MEM, Intune, VMWare Workspace One, etc.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $105,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
