About this role
Adaptiva is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in Kirkland, WA. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting our HR operations and ensuring employee well-being and satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include recruitment, employee relations, benefit administration, and HR policy management, all while fostering a positive work culture and maintaining compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will prioritize team member experience and demonstrate a strong cultural fit.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, preparing paperwork for new employees.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality.
- Support performance review process.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing HR enquiries and policy guidance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Administer benefit programs, including but not limited to health insurance, 401(k) plan, and leave management.
- Manage benefit changes and assist with open enrollment.
- Maintain and update the HRIS system (ADP).
- Assist in resolving employee relation issues, conducting investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Communicate, interpret, and maintain the employee handbook, organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to improve employee experience and HR department efficiency.
- Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Resourceful mindset with conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Payroll processing experience, preferably with ADP Workforce Now preferred but not required.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR), or SHRM certification preferred but not required.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $75,000 – $85,000. The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, location, and other business needs.
The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a performance bonus and very generous benefits.
